NAMGOONG WHAN
Namgoong Whan is a South Korean painter born in 1975, Seoul. He studied at B.F.A Seoul National University South Korea and D.N.S.A.P Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. The artist lives and works in Paris.
"I use the brush, the ink, the water, the paper. These are organic materials which create energy. It passes though my body. I put the ink on the wet paper. It creates reaction alive : The ink diffuses and I control. My work becomes little ritual. That’s because I paint one picture or two more pictures by the rhythm of the breath everyday."
