04 : ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
SUNGFEEL YUN
Born in DAEJEON, South of Korea, in 1977, lives and works in London. He has has received for his work the prestigious award from the Korean National Museum of Contemporary Art.
Through his unique paintings and sculptural pieces, he effectively explores vast and complex themes, from the eternal transference of energy to universal balance, or creation to extinction.
DELVILLE COLLECTION
Buddhist philosophies demanded that temple life and rituals were conducted in a simple and restrained manner, and from the early times of esoteric Buddhist practice red objects were regarded as auspicious and suitable to accompany a monk’s everyday existence.
In this exhibition, these everyday objects haven't they turned, with the patina of age, into objects of « unintended art » where exactly the blend of materials rendered by the patina creates all their contemporary feel.
